Your extra long showers are ruining the environment and Elisabeth Buecher wants to do something about it.  The textile installation artist can’t flush the toilet or throw cold water on every excessive shower taker , but she has found a way to keep people on a tight schedule: inflatable spikes. Part of a series of creations called “My Shower Curtain is a Green Warrior,” the Spiky curtain pushes people out of the stall if they’ve been in for too long. From the moment the water starts running , you have four minutes to do all your scrubbing before the spikes make it impossible to remain in the shower. An additional installation, titled “Trap,” offers a similar concept, though with double the claustrophobia. As the shower head rains down, the curtain begins to inflate around the user. A warehouse full of merchandise and other items related to Riverfest will be up for sale beginning Friday morning . bernegger January 25, 2016 PLEASE I need some advice. Our bathroom was gutted at the beginning of Nov. We put in radiant heat, cement over it, and large Maxfine pieces of ceramic. My shower floor (4'x5') was the first to crack about a month after it was put in. The holidays came and all work stopped. I thought it was a fluke. Last night, the piece (5'x7') that my bathtub sits on cracked as well. These are hairline cracks, and they go from one grout line to another. The ceramic is 0.2" (5mm) . HONOLULU (AP) — As smoke filled his 26th-floor apartment in Honolulu, a Hawaiian Airlines manager made one final telephone call to his brother, the brother says, before both the man and his mother were killed in the blaze. Pearl City Community Church Pastor Phil Reller told The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (http://bit.ly/2tXsf7e) that police confirmed that two of the three victims killed in the blaze Friday are his mother and brother. Reller told the newspaper he received a call from his brother, Britt Reller, 54, saying he had been taking a shower when he smelled the smoke.
