LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Everything must go. Organizers behind the recently cancelled Riverfest are selling off all their supplies. A warehouse full of merchandise and other items related to Riverfest will be up for sale beginning Friday morning . From kids craft supplies to box fans and ladders.  The festival, which at its height brought more than 250,000 attendees to Riverfront Park is liquidating all of its items. "Very eclectic group of items.  Something for festivals, something for events, something for teachers," DeAnna Korte, the Riverfest Director for 20 years said. She said the sale is bittersweet, but everything must be sold. "Kids crafts, home goods, lots of dressing room supplies , so bath towels, covers for your couches, shower curtains, plywood, we've got 3 compartment stainless steel sinks ," she said. 40 years of stuff. Memorabilia, supplies and lots of memories. "So, if people want a t-shirt for the memories of the event," she sa...

Setting out on a FunShip Voyage to Cuba! The Carnival Paradise passes the historic El Morro Castle in Havana, Cuba, on its first voyage to the city on Friday, June 30, 2017. August 14, 2017 Today, I embarked Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Paradise in her homeport of Tampa, Florida to set sail on one of Carnival’s newest and most unique itineraries: a five-night voyage to Havana, Cuba . Carnival Paradise arrived in Havana for the first time on June 30 of this year, becoming the first Carnival ship in the company’s 45-year history to ever visit Cuba. All of this was made possible by the easing of travel restrictions against the island nation by the U.S. Government – though how long this will all last is anyone’s guess. I vacationed at Pennsylvania's quintessential rest stop. It’s more inviting than it looks

Gambar
I expected to live my entire life without price-shopping for truck-stop showers. Then I spent the night in Breezewood. The adventure began last August when my main squeeze James and I drove to Colorado. We passed through Breezewood, Pennsylvania, as do many drivers heading to the Rust Belt and beyond. "What do you think about vacationing here for a week," James asked. I laughed loudly and dismissed the idea. If you've been there, you understand why. Breezewood has been a travel hub for centuries. It was a stagecoach stop in the late 1700s and then became a stop on the Lincoln Highway, America's first cross-country road. The Pennsylvania Turnpike opened in 1940, and thousands of World War II veterans exited at Breezewood, stopping at what now is the Gateway Travel Plaza to trade their unit patches for meals. Today, Motorists driving between I-70 and the turnpike are forced off the highway and onto a congested half-mile stretch of expensive gas s...
