Spa Ceylon Forest Trail Bath & Shower Gel, Cardamom Rose Hand Cream : Review

I was recently introduced to Spa Ceylon, an luxury Ayurveda brand from Sri Lanka which has launched this year in India. I visited their store in Bandra (opp. Amarsons, off Linking Road) a few weeks back to try out their products. Their brand lineup is pretty amazing with loads of body care products, categorised based on dosha and skin types. Their offerings include bath and shower products and several unique balms and body oil mists which I found really interesting. Today I’m reviewing the Forest Trail Bath & Shower Gel and the Cardamom Rose Hand Cream.
Spa Ceylon Forest Trail Bath & Shower Gel (Rs 1025 for 300 ml)
The Forest Trail range has a wonderful earthy, woody scent which is a nice change from the floral and fruity scents that we usually find in bath care products. This gel based cleanser has a runny consistency, lathers mildly and leaves the skin feels cleansed, refreshed and fragrant with a rich, herby aroma. The product description lists Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Patchouli, Peppermint, Cedarwood, Vetiver and Cardamom in the ingredients and I feel like I get a whiff of each of these scents. I find this wash very gentle on the skin and the relaxing spa-like fragrance feels really uplifting! 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the Forest Trail products go to elephant conservation initiatives in Sri Lanka. The product is 100% vegetarian, not tested on animals and free from parabens, paraffin and alcohol.
I think this is a wonderful range for both men and women and if you like earthy scents, I highly recommend this!
Spa Ceylon Forest Trail Bath & Shower Gel Spa Ceylon Cardamom Rose Hand Cream (Rs 1100 for 250 ml)
Being the rose addict I am, I had to pick something from their amazing Cardamom Rose range and I picked the hand cream which I now keep at my desk. The pump bottle is really handy and the runny, quick absorbing lotion is perfect for day time use. Its light weight but instantly hydrates and smoothes the skin, leaving the hands soft and fragrant with the sweet scent of rose and cardamom. The scent is not too heavy, feels really natural and this is definitely one of the nicest rose scented products I’ve tried! You can use this as a body lotion as well. This range also has a hand wash and balm which would be perfect for night use. If you’re a fellow rose lover like me, you’ve got to try this out!
