What is a shower diverter?
Shower diverters are usually operated with a lever or a button to control which shower head the water will flow through. The principle is the same as the more common combination of shower heads and bathtub faucets. Having multiple shower heads on a diverter valve is useful for alternating between an overhead spray and targeted body or side sprays, ultimately for a more complete overall wash. Additional components, such as ceramic discs, are intended to minimize or eliminate unwanted dripping.
